Q: I don't think this is for me - I don't drive
A: All employees will still need to register their driving status, whether you do or don't drive on company business at any point, your participation is mandatory. If you simply ignore the system chasers your company will see you as 'non-compliant' in their reporting resulting in a risk-flag being triggered. The simplest solution is to register your YES/NO to driving by using the links from your welcome email/SMS.
Q: Why are you chasing me for insurance documentation for driving on business? I only drive to work & back?
A: If you have incorrectly entered your own personal vehicle and stated this is the car you use for driving on business (between sites, to meetings etc) then you have made a mistake. You will need to log back in and update the vehicle you drive by entering a NEW vehicle (such as a Company Car or Hire Car) and then remove your personal vehicle. Be aware that if you do ever travel to another work site that is not your fixed work location you'll potentially be driving illegally if you do not have business cover on your private vehicle. If you will ever be using your own vehicle for any work-related business driving trips you will still need this vehicle to be entered into the system with a valid insurance certificate uploaded.
Q: The data you have in the system is incorrect, please update it for me
A: Driving Monitor cannot alter the data that you or your employer enters into the system. We are simply here to support drivers/managers with any issues logging in and using the system, however, the data in the system isn't something we have any control over - please speak with your fleet coordinator if you feel any data is incorrect such as your name, mobile number or where users sit in the hierarchy.
Q: I cannot log in either via Single Sign On or the standard password login system
A: You can reset your password from the login screen, or if you use Single Sign On and cannot authenticate into the system you will need to speak with your line manager or fleet coordinator. Driving Monitor has no control over user passwords or your internal IT infrastructure with Single Sign On.
Q: I want to remove my vehicle but the system won't let me
A: Correct. If you have recorded that you will be driving on company business at any point in your employment (for example to travel to another site, attend a meeting or visit a supplier) then you will still need to have your personal vehicle logged in the system. If you have incorrectly added your own vehicle and you will 'never' use that vehicle in the future whilst driving on company business, then you need to log back in and enter either a 'Hire Car' or 'Company Car' option, then remove your personal vehicle. The system is designed to ensure you have at least 1 vehicle logged on your account, so you cannot simply delete your own vehicle and be left with no vehicle stated. If you have received an alert stating you have the incorrect level of insurance on your personal vehicle you will simply need to upgrade your insurance to cover 'business driving' and not simply 'Commuting to a fixed place of work'.
Q: My insurance check had been rejected for my personal car
A: You will have received an email with specific reasons and instructions of what you need to do, please do not email our Helpdesk as the insurance processing team works in a different area and the Helpdesk team do not manage insurance. You will need to follow the guidance you have been emailed and rectify the issue.
Q: I can't upload my insurance document
A: You will need to find the vehicle that you are wishing to upload your document, edit the vehicle and use the 'Insurance Cover' section to select the level of coverage for your insurance. Please note that you will not be able to upload your certificate if you do not have the required level of cover (Private & Occasional Business Use or Commercial travelling).
Click the ‘Upload the document' option in the Proof of cover section show. The certificate will need to be in one of the following formats: PDF, JPG, PNG, GIF, or TIFF.

Q: I can't find/can't start my training
A: You will have a 'Priority Tasks' panel shown on your driver dashboard when you log in. Simply work through the tasks shown on your driver dashboard to complete all actions. Once you have completed all of your required tasks you should then have a valid driver 'Passport'. Your employer may refuse to pay expense claims if you do not have a valid Passport to drive, so you need to be 100% compliant.
Q: I have training outstanding and can't start my assessment
A: You cannot start your next assessment until you have completed all of your existing outstanding training modules. You will need to check your 'Priority Tasks' area shown on your driver dashboard when you log in as a 'driver' to complete your tasks first.
Q: Can you add me to the system as I need to do this to drive?
A: No, unfortunately, Driving Monitor does not manage the data within the system so you will need to speak with your Line Manager about being added to the system. Your fleet coordinator will generally be managing starters/leavers data and ensuring you are added, so you will receive your welcome email/SMS as soon as they have uploaded the company HR data into the system. Please check with your company fleet coordinator if you urgently need a Passport to drive, as there may be a facility to onboard you via a fast-track process ahead on the next weekly/monthly data feed.
