I've received an alert about a revoked driving licence

What does this mean?
The DVLA have informed us that the licence has been revoked.

A licence can be revoked (withdrawn) for the following reasons:

  • On medical grounds
  • Under the New Drivers Act 1995
  • If a licence is issued in error
  • Failure to surrender a licence for endorsement

What do I need to do next?

The driver must renew their driving licence after having it revoked before they start driving again.

There are no set periods for length of revocation once the driver has complied with the Secretary of State’s wishes an appropriate licence may be issued.

If you believe this information to be incorrect please contact Driving Monitor to ensure the records are up-to-date.
